Jamaal....The Slumdog Millionaire

Jamal Malik is an Indian boy from the slums of Mumbai. The boy who has lived his life stealing for food and selling petty items in the train, fortunately enters into  a game show and become a Millionaire.

Jamal has developed the way he is due to his experiences in his life.  Many important years of Jamal are spent struggling for a living which will give him enough to satisfy his stomach. Jamal once aspired of leading a good life and  having wealth. He, along with his brother, used to earn a living by using underhand ways. He is also a diligent and smart enough to escape from from the people who are about to harm him.  But as he grows up he stops caring about the material goods or wealth, all he wants to achieve in life is his love Latika and wants to marry her. There comes the soft and romantic aspect of Jamal. He risks his life to meet her.

He participates in a game show considering that Latika might watch the show and he’ll get her back. He leaves everyone amazed and astonished when being almost an uneducated man he is able to answer all the questions right in the game show. Although his teenage days helped him a bit in answering some questions (because he use to work at an IT company), but he is a man of instincts.

He wins the game and becomes a millionaire, a “SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE”. Jamal believes that even though his destiny made him a slum dog, it doesn’t mean that he has to be it for the rest of his life. His life wasn’t written like everyone seemed to believe, he has the possibility and courage to make a change.
