Janghya… Half Ticket, Full Filmy

Balwan, also known as Jhangya among his friends, is a 10 year old devil who does not wear underwear. His answer for the same is- “Style hai Boss”. Janghya is obsessed with Bollywood films. His every sentence will have a flavor of Bollywood in it. If you ask any question to him, his answer will have a reference from a Bollywood hit movie. He is so filmy that he keeps on swearing on his mother to make his friends believe he his speaking the truth.

He roams around with his friends in half pants, riding bicycle and playing cricket. One must not assume his behaviour by seeing his innocent face, they are poles apart. If you try to give lecture to him, he will outsmart you and change the topic. He is not even afraid of showing his attitude in front of his teacher

Janghya is a team's man. He will keep his ego on the side and do whatever it takes to get the work done. This was quite evident when he wore underwear for the first time to help his friend. This shows that he will come to rest only when he has defeated his enemy.
So now you know, that you never want to go against him. ;)

Tony Stark is now The Iron Man

Anthony Stark is the son of Wealthy Industrialist Howard Stark. He inherits his father's company after his parents' accidental death in a car crash.
Tony is a genius boy. He made his first engine at the age of 6. He graduated from MIT at the age of 17 years. With the help of his brilliant and unique mind, he was expanding the company and became a successful Industrialist.

The billionaire suffered a chest injury during his kidnapping, the effects of which can be prevented only by a magnetic field generator inside his body all the time. His companion at the kidnapping place made a magnetic chest plate for the same.
They both were supposed to create a weapon of mass destruction when Tony came up with an armor, an Iron suit. He invested his time and brain in this idea and created IRON MAN to save the world with his available power. Now he is not just a billionaire and a playboy, but also a Superhero.
Tony is bold enough to declare that he himself is the Iron Man. Also he is selfless when he decided to shut down company's production of weapons because they were the reasons of destruction in some places.

Sometime later, Tony discovered a new problem with himself. His blood was getting intoxicated. He decided not to tell his lover, Ms. Pepper Potts, about it. It was finally cured by S.H.I.E.L.D. Tony then found a source of great energy which overcame his problem of frequently changing source of energy in the chest plate.

Iron Man agreed to "The Avengers" initiative and is a part of the Avengers team since then.

Tony is rich, sexy, young and energetic, he likes to surprise people, he is a humorist and a genius. But above all, he is the IRON MAN

DJ da Style, DJ da Promise, DJ di Life.

Daljeet (DJ) is a Punjabi boy who has no worries at all and doesn't care whether this world is a shit place or something. He wants to make the most of now and his way of doing that is doing all sorts of activities which a normal person would be scared of doing. He wants to live the life on the edge. 

 DJ has a different kind of humour which you may not like in the first place, but later you will find it difficult to control yourself from laughing at his jokes. No matter how angry you are, he will come up with something and you will start smiling. Even his dance style is as cool and unique as he is. DJ is yaaron ka  yaar who can do anything for his friends. He believes in his friend's belief and will support him/her even if he is on the death bed.

But who is DJ? Is he a college student? What is he like from inside?
It was long when DJ passed his college studies but he is still hanging around the campus. Why? Because he likes being there. He has an image over there. His social needs are high. People know him, they expect from him, he is getting importance, so he is happy and relaxed. But somewhere down the line he is afraid to go out in the world alone because he knows how does it function. Bribing and getting away is the solution to every problem out there.

Our Daljeet fall in love with a firangi, Sue. DJ promised to stay by her side and to help her complete the film she was supposed to complete.
Fate took a sudden turn and his life showed him a totally new phase. The world was not the same as before, DJ realized it was time to take life seriously, to take a stand against what is wrong.
And when DJ is on a mission, he will do whatever it takes to complete it, even if it requires risking his life.

Daljeet died with a vision, to make the world a better place to live in.
And what a way to die. Even at the last moment he was missing his lady love and passed a joke with reference to their future kids, "pata nahi gore honge ya kaale". 
A salute to this great man for all his efforts. No one had the courage to do what he did with such an ease.

Prem ka Apna hi Andaz hai....Ouyi maa

Prem Bhopali is an aspiring actor. He is dreaming to be a Bollywood star and can even sell his father's shop to become one. This unrealistic aim has made him so blind that anyone can fool him by giving few compliments to his personality. And his peers did take advantage of this trait. To give an example, his Mentor took a great amount of money from Prem showing him situations which he wants to imagine but are impossible to occur.

Prem travelled miles with the belief that he can get every girl he want in life (even if she is a rich NRI)
But do you think this dumb and innocent boy can easily get her when all the other cruel boys are out there for the same reason? I know your answer is NO. And this is what happened with him.

There is also another side of Prem. He wouldn't let his competitor win over him. He can become a false doctor, prescribe wrong medicines, and get his enemy into trouble. Thus taking his revenge.

The soft hearted Prem sooner realizes what a true love is, and now does not run for the money but a settled life. He forgives easily and is a great friend to those who are good to him. He can risk his life for those he loves. Ye to baccha hai, akal ka kachcha hai, mann ka sachcha hai, aur ye yaaron ka yaar hai.

Definite...Perpendicular...Tangent

Gangs of Wasseypur's characters have become famous like anything. If you have seen the trailer, I am sure you must be a lot more curious to know why they were named so. (See the video to get a glimpse of all the characters)

Definite Khan

                               Definite 

Sardar Khan's son from his second wife kept his name with just one "Definite" aim, which was to see Sardar Khan dead. Now that Sardar was dead, Definite wanted to have the control over Wasseypur area which his step brother had for long. Definite was inspired from Salman Khan and considers himself as the Don of the upcoming time. He rides on his bike wearing a black leather jacket most of the times. He is very cruel, furious at some times, and it doesn't matter to him on whose side he is in  unless and until his goals are being satisfied.

Perpendicular

Babua a.k.a Perpendicular Khan was the youngest son of Sardar Khan. Actually he was the one who was en-cashing on the goodwill of his brother, Faisal. He will rob a jwellery shop in such an easy going manner like no one can ever touch him. He would even never pay for his purchases made in the local shop (will even ask for money if the item is out of stock because then he has to buy from some other place). His name was so because of his mastery in hitting the blade perpendicular which causes a quick death to anyone's life.

He had a sudden friendship with blade and use to move his tongue like it was biscuit (and not blade) moving in his mouth.

Perpendicular was fond of Sanjay Dutt and got his hairs highlighted in golden colour just to follow his superstar.

But causing so much pain in every other man's life can lead to having enemies all over your circle. And eventually he had to pay that price.

Tangent

Nothing much about the character other than just he was used to support Perpendicular and Definite (not in literal terms though). Tangent was the best friend of Perpendicular who earned his name because he use to hit the blade tangent to his target's skin. Tangent was to Perpendicular what Circuit was to Munna Bhai.

He later joined Faisal's gang and helped him to kill his enemies.

I am John Smith... a.k.a Number 4

John Smith (Number four)

John, handsome alien of 15-year-old from the planet Lorien, was sent away from his planet along with eight other teens to protect their kind.

All these nine people are connected in a way that allows them to be killed in numeric order only.
Every time a person is killed, John gets a scar on his leg.
He and his guardian has to keep moving, they can't leave their imprint anywhere. It is too dangerous to get located.

Still unaware of his powers and pissed off with his escaping life, John enrolls in a new school to live a normal life. But anytime between the class his powers will show up and his hands will emit heat. This is not normal and so he becomes rebellious and more frustrated because of his identity. (Imagine a situation where you don't know your past, have lots of questions, something or the other weird stuff keeps on happening with you. You will feel the same.)

He escapes from his guardian and explore his powers just like you have seen Spiderman exploring his powers for the first time. Running, jumping, flying all over the terrain.
Now is the time to face his destiny and the people who want him dead. Along his way, he meets number 6th and set out to find all other members alive.

Leaving his lady love behind was never easy, but he has to move on like forever. He can't risk her life


I am eagerly waiting for the next movie in this series (if there is one)

Girlfriend....

I was about to define "Girlfriend", and here I am. Still at the beginning after 2 hours of dedicated thinking. (Well, no one can define girlfriend)

Powered by AXE, here starts a series of episodes to help you understand the character "Girlfriend", or rather make you believe that you are not the only one who is suffering from their tortures.

Here are some points to help you know them better: (some of the points from the indefinite list)
1. Unpredictable- You never know what reaction she might give to your simple sentences
2. They will win all the Arguments- you can try as hard as you can, but there will be this same outcome
3. They do not always mean what they say- Be cautious ;)

Aeeeyyyy.... Sunny (Housefull2)

Akshay Kumar (Sunny in housefull2) plays the mischievous lady loving character. He stares them in a way that will remind you of Ranjeet. And why not, Sunny is the paap of that wicked baap

He starts penniless from a trailer van, and end up being the son of a billionaire.

Sunny 

 Flattering is Sunny's forte. Be it  his Henna (Asin), be it his father-in-law, or be it the mobster J.D, he will make stories or even will fall at your feet, but will solve his purpose in the end. He can even take out tooth of a crocodile :p

Sunny finally change his nature because of his father and somehow with his convinces J.D to make to accept all the love birds

Sean ......... "THE MOB"

Step Up Revolution, starring Ryan Guzman as Sean, is here to change things.!!

Sean is a poor guy (girls and gays will find him sexy instead) from "the streets" who runs an underground dance troupe. When he is not working for a real estate company he is putting on the Ritz.
Sean is one of those boys who want to break the rules, be free and do creative stuff. He has a sister, who like other sisters, wants him to put down his dance thing to bed and do a real work (do a course and then a job)

Being the Leader of "The Mob", he has to fight for his community. He has to take a step to change things. He can do that only when he has his friends around him. And he tries his every effort to make them stay together to create a revolution.

And if you are looking for a spark between our street dancer hero and the contemporary style hot girl, you will surely not be disappointed ;)

Imraan- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Imraan is among those wittiest guys, who cheers you in their presence but hide the sad parts of their life within themselves.

Imraan is all vibrant about his life, but a copywriter who works for an advertising firm  has certain issues he doesn't like to deal with in his life.  He has layered himself with the robe of a humorist so to speak, where he just defers everything that happens in his life. He loves being silly. Even if he is being rude to someone it's because he finds it funny. But over the time, something hits the audience that Imraan is hiding some sensitive story inside him.

Imran's lifelong dream to meet his biological father persuade him to go to Spain with his friends. But he never expected that his outer layers will be peeled off and his inner-self will come out. He realizes the mistakes he has made in life and wants to make up to every person who loves him. 

Imraan is adventurous to the limit it is close to taking one's life. . He vows to publish his poetry as he reveals that he is a poet as well.

No Cats but still... CATWOMAN

We all know who is Catwoman. She is a girl with miserable childhood years who turns out to help the ones like her by stealing from the people who have a lot to worry for.

Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) in The Dark Knight Rises is a world class burglar and an excellent charmer. She only steals from the people who have "more than enough" and passes on to the people who have "almost nothing". Her weapons include infrared goggles, bladed high-heel boots, and a belt filled with lock picks. She is as agile as a CAT. She leaves a particular place as soon as her interest is taken out of it.
Selina Kyle (Catwoman) wants to remove all the previous criminal record and start a new life. She comes in contact with Bruce Wayne due to the same reason. In a way, she helps the Bane group but later on falls for Batman and works with him.

But what lacks in about Catwoman in this movie is, the Cats were missing from her house. No way there was shown Catwoman's love for Cats.
May be the movie did not want to pay any more attention to the Catwoman than what it has already done.

Bane- Death; Destruction; Ruin

If you look at the dictionary meaning of "Bane", it says words like Death, Destruction, and Ruin. This is what Bane does in "The Dark Knight Rises".

Bane was  born and raised in hell (not literally). His physique says a lot about his personality. If you see the scene where he fights with Batman, he Kicks some real Ass. Obviously he is more powerful than the current Batman, and even he is quicker than him. But Bane must wear a breathing apparatus that feeds him with pain relieving gas due to an old injury.
Bane's actions show how fearless he is, how brutal he is. He gives a no-care attitude when there is Havoc in Gotham city. He is not human, at least his deeds do not depict so.
Well, if you must have read any comic, or have seen a movie, of Batman with Bane in it, you know that Bane doesn't come out to be the main Villain. Yes, he is a strong opponent. But there are strings attached to him, which are controlled by someone more cruel.
In this movie also, Bane is only playing the part he is told to do. In the end, he is this huge Gorilla dancing to the tunes of this revengeful minded Girl.

Batman- The End is here

Batman is old now. It has been eight years since he had fought Joker and killed Harvey Dent. He is retired now.Bruce Wayne is stripped off his greatest superpower, his money. Now what will  he do if he has to fight a young, superbly motivated mobster?

 So when this Bane starts creating Havoc, Batman gives a come back and tries his best to stop him. But Batman is off league now. He needs to do his research work, get more agile, act like a real Batman.

But yes, he Rises. He rises after he falls one time and is determined this time to hit back with full force. Batman stands for a belief. He cannot leave his city when they need him. Be it insolvency, be it the loss of his lover, be is under-performance, you can hit Bruce Wayne for what he has (or does not have), but not Batman.
He saves the world from a great explosion, beats the hell of his enemies, and is dead (even Bruce Wayne) in the eyes of his fans
But, leaves them with hope.

Prithviraj Raghuvanshi- Bol Bachchan

Prithviraj (played by Ajay Devgn) is like the Robin hood Pandey of his village, Ranakpur.

He likes to do 2 things. One is exercising, and the other is talking in English. Though he aspires to talk more fluently than the English origin people, in current state his English is no where near to what English actually is. But this is one of those features which will make you laugh in the movie.

Pruthviraj Raghuvanshi

Prithviraj is a man who is good from the heart, and he is also emotional.
His lover died a few years back but when he found out "Sanya", Abbas's sister (played by Asin Thottumkal), looks like exactly like his lover, he falls in Love with her. Then comes out the sweet part of Prithviraj. Whenever he is in front of her, he melts down.

Overall, a fun-to-watch character i will say

Veronika

In Homi Adajani's Cocktail, Veronika is the character you should look forward to. She is bold, sexy, and HOT. But you will find her emotional also

Veronika D'Costa

Veronica has grown up in a broken family so she has not got the conventional love of parents. She is feisty, but not a rebel. She is a super confident girl who craves for attention. She is a girl who is out there to have fun and enjoy herself.
The super model Veronika realizes what is family love when she met Gautam's (Saif Ali Khan) mother. Her desire to settle down with Gautam depicts her changed way of looking to life. She is looking for stability now.

Veronika is not the negative character in the movie. In fact, she is the one who enlightens the mood.

Roma- Don2

Now an Interpol officer, Roma continues her mission to pursuit Don in order to avenge her brother Ramesh and his fiance Kamini’s death which happened in the previous film, Don.
Priyanka had been preparing for the character for long time. She learned martial arts and performed her own stunts.
She is the hard girl out in the film, but when it comes to Don her heart melts for him. The spark between them can easily be seen as the film progresses. Even they both were ready to sacrifice their respective lives for the other.
In the end, Don escapes from his Junglee Billi, but expresses his addiction for her.
Well, you cannot blame him for this ;)

Nagma Khatoon- Gang of Wasseypur

Nagma Khatoon, Sardar Khan's first wife and a very outspoken Woman, who allowed her husband to enter into the house of ill repute. But when she came to know that Sardar actually did went there, she changed her mind and chased him with the stick in her hand. She continues to stay with him because of the family honour. She was sweet at some moment, she could be a firebrand who doesn't shy away from the ugliest of the ugly street slang, and she could be stubborn like anything.

 Her nature is shown best in these particular scenes :
1. When she chases him (as mentioned above)
2. When she teaches her son how to act in front of a policeman
3. When she beats his son for taking money from Ramadhir Singh
4. At the time when Sardar and his elder son were talking business and she was doing domestic cleaning

Sardar Khan-

Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpai) is the character around whom the movie story revolves. 

He is funny, he is smart, he is cruel, and he is romantic. All at the same time. 

His love life was also very interesting to watch for. He had four sons from his first wife and a son from his second wife. His relationship with both of his wives was a unique thing to watch. You will love his persuasive power ;) 

        He shaved his head vowing to not to grow his hair untill he take on the revenge from Ramadhir Singh (hhis father's killer)

"Humri jindagi ka ek hi maksad tha, BADLA" indicates the destruction he would have caused to take revenge of his father's death. 

I will not reveal the plot, but for him i will say "A must watch character". In fact, he is best character in Gang of Wasseypur's part 1
